Eirianwen

Eirianwen is a great wolf demon who is said to be the mother of all wolf demons; the wolves are calling her as an "emuu" (pronounce somewhat like emoo). Eirianwen is more of a mythical creature.

Eirianwen is a saint for the wolves and is being worshipped by them. You could compare it to a religion. The word "emuu" comes from Finnish mythology and it means ancestress.



"Emuus are the mothers and guardians of a certain animal or plant. There is some male emuus (for example Juoletar, the emuu of otters), but they are all considered as mothers for they are birthgivers, not god-like creators. Even the name emuu comes from emo, an old Finnish word meaning mother. "

In this rpg, the wolves are only calling their ancestress, the great demon wolf Eirianwen an emuu. Every demon specie in our rpg has their own cultures, which are more or less based on a real life culture, for example the Fox tribe's way of life resembles that of feudal Japan. The Wolf tribe's culture resembles those old Nordic cultures.




The name "Eirianwen" is a celtic name from Wales. (Welsh: eirian "splendid, bright, fair" + gwen "shining, holy").
